Collection: Wonderstone

Wonderstone is a beloved stone that we really enjoy. The hardness is low, and allows the material to be cut, polished, and fashioned with such ease, that it is very fun to work with. It is technically an Iron-Banded Rhyolite, which was deposited during a volcanic event in central Utah. We try to mine the most "bullseye" patterns that we can find, but overall, every banded pattern is beautiful. Face-polished chunks display very well in a collection, but jewelry can also be made from wonderstone. It takes more of a 'satin' polish, but polishes nevertheless.
